1)first 25 percent left right from centre
2) divide number of max value positions by 4
3)  count that number starting from both the ends of the set to the centre
4)subtract both values from the two ends from each other
5) multiply answer from step 4 by 1.5
6)compare the two numbers from step 3 with step 5
